what material is better regarding heat sink and radiator

Leave a message

Which material is better for the aluminum heat sink? What is a good radiator material? In terms of heat sink materials, the thermal conductivity of each material is different,  from high to low, they are silver, copper, aluminum and steel. But silver is too expensive, the best solution is copper. Although aluminum is much cheaper, it clearly does not conduct heat as well as copper (only about 50% of copper).

then Which is better? What is a good radiator material?

At present commonly material that we used is cooper and aluminum alloy for heat sink, both of them have their advantages and disadvantages. The thermal conductivity of copper is good, but the price is more expensive, processing difficulty is higher, weight is too heavy (a lot of pure copper radiator exceeded CPU to restrict to weight), thermal capacity is small, and easy oxidation. And pure aluminium is too soft, cannot use directly, it is the aluminium alloy ability that USES to offer enough hardness, the advantage of aluminium alloy is low in price, lighter in weight, but conduct heat the gender is about to differ than copper a lot. Some radiators take advantage of each,  such in the aluminum alloy radiator base embedded with a copper plate.

Which is better? What is a good radiator material? For ordinary uses, the aluminum heat sink is enough to meet the cooling demand.

If you still have a high requirement on the thermal conductivity, we also can provide another good solution for you, that is our new technology- superconductivity vacumm phase change aluminum heat sink. for more detail you can visit this product page at our website:https://www.kx-aluminum.com/heat-sink/vapour-chamber-heat-sink/vapour-chamber-aluminium-heat-sinks.html
